Job Title: Food Service Assistant Manager

Department: Rough Rider Center

Status: Non-Exempt

Position: Full Time

Hourly: $16/hr

Adjustments are determined annually by the Managing Director

Supervisor: Food Service Manager

 

Summary

This position will assist the Food Service Manager with all aspects of food service with the Rough Rider Center, including but not limited to Percs & Rec Coffee Shop, Rough Rider Center Concessions, Watford City High School concessions, and catering.

 

Job Duties:

  • Work concessions at all home high school events.
  • Assist the Food Service Manager with all catering orders in the Rough Rider Center.
  • Will work in Percs & Rec Coffee shop and Concessions as needed.
  • Gauge and make decisions on food safety and quality control violations.
  • Coordinate personnel and resources.
  • Assist Food Service Manager and Athletic Director (WCHS) with scheduling groups for concession areas.
  • Assist Food Service Manager in training of new concession / catering staff.
  • Assist Food Service Manager in ordering supplies and managing inventory.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness of areas after each use.
  • Report any maintenance needed on equipment to the Food Service Manager immediately.
  • Maintain and model professional conduct.
  • Manage and coordinate teamwork within the group.
  • Hold each group accountable for fast, effective and friendly customer service.
  • Supports and communicates company policies and initiatives.
  • Work effectively and efficiently between all software used.
  • Print all required and applicable reports.

 

Qualifications:

  • Hard working and committed to the job at hand.
  • Must have a flexible schedule. Will work nights, weekends and early mornings as needed.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food safety and handling.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly to stock inventory.
  • Must have problem solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to handle money, count tills and prepare deposits.
  • Must have the ability to work with various groups of people of all ages.
  • Must be service oriented and have good people skills.
  • Must be able to determine costs and profit margins for products.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment and random drug screening.
